Artist vision
I am a dance artist that has always had an overwhelming passion for dance my whole life. I love the element of individuality that contemporary dance brings with the freedom to come into the studio with no judgement with freedom of creative licence.
In the creative process, I immerse myself in the concept of the creative tasks set by the choreographer and being conscientious until I have found what they want. I gain so much as an artist being able to work with different choreographers to form their vision. Grasping understanding from different influences through cultures, music, narratives and backgrounds to develop myself and challenge me and understanding my own artistic qualities.
With my ballet background, this means I also have the professionalism of working in corps, so working in sequencity or unison as part of a group. I am a strong character so no setbacks will hold me from my full potential as a dance artist.
I love working in a company environment, as a group you bounce off each other`s different qualities you bring together and being able to learn and inspire each other. Nothing is better in my opinion than being able to perform, being able to do what you love and people in the audience enjoying it is the most powerful and rewarding thing ever, I aspire to be able to always performance for myself, choreographer and the audience.
I aspire to share my love of dance to generations through teaching and challenging students and spire them to join the dance industry and find out how they what to move.
Overall, dance will always be a huge part of my life and I have already learnt so much learning in different styles and in different environments surrounded by different people. I will always dance in any free moment it is my relief of any stress and is my way of expression. I am grateful for dance.
