HANNAH SCOTT
DANCE ARTIST | PERFORMER

A little bit about me...
Hi, I am a dance artist whose passion has always been dance, in whatever form. As a dancer, true fulfillment comes from challenge, always pushing boundaries. Taking class, rehearsing, being involved in the creative process, and performing in different venues will always be where I want to be and where my heart is.
I first started dancing when I was 5, training at my local dance school partaking in classes in RAD Ballet, at the age of 10 I did additional classes at BodyWorks, Cambridge in Jazz, Ballet, as well as Ballet Festivals. Along with this, I joined DanceEast CAT Scheme, working with choreographers, Adam Galbraith from Matthew Bourne`s New Adventures in a lead role, Michael Marsh Riviere, Rachel Moss, and Darren Ellis. Continuing my training to vocational level, at 16, moving up to Ballet West Scotland where I trained fundamentally in Classical Ballet, other classes included: Contemporary, Pointe, Pas De Deux, Repertoire, Jazz, Choreography, RAD and Body Conditioning. Performing in venues across Scotland in their tour of The Sleeping Beauty, in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Oban, Greenock, etc. To further my training, I auditioned for The School of Ballet Theatre UK in Leicestershire, offering more individual intensive training, with the opportunity to perform alongside their professional ballet company Ballet Theatre UK, in the production of The Sleeping Beauty, touring all around the UK, performing in Brighton Dome, Portsmouth Guildhall, Watford Colisseum, so on. Performing in showcases at both schools.
Gaining a BA (Hons) in Ballet Performance validated by the University of West London.
At 19, after auditioning I gained a place in MapDance Company with 13 company dancers, based at The University of Chichester to study a Dance Performance Masters Degree. Gaining the valuable experience of working with renowned choreographers, touring the performance of pieces by:
Gary Clarke, Jose Agudo, Ceyda Tanc, and Noa Shadur.
-AYIN Choreographed by Ceyda Tanc
-Suddenly We Were All Alone Choreographed by Noa Shadur
-Inside The Animal Choreographed by Jose Agudo
-On Your Marks Choreographed by Gary Clarke
Cannot wait for where dance takes me next!
